As a massage therapist, what I love most is supporting clients in unraveling pain patterns, allowing them to experience balance and ease once again.
I believe that incorporating all of my experiences, being present in the moment and meeting my client where they are allows the opportunity for healing.
I first came to the healing arts through my yoga practice in the mid seventies. In the late nineties, I immersed myself into the yoga teacher training world, completing two 200 certifications and additionally a certification with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. I taught yoga for seventeen years, working with a diverse population. I worked with cancer survivors for fourteen years, seniors, high school, middle and elementary students along with general community classes. I have offered Private Yoga Consultations where the clients’ goals and physical needs are evaluated. We then create a printable, personalized yoga routine and schedule a second session where we review and modify (if needed), and answer any questions.
In 2010 I completed an 850-hour Massage Therapy program at Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in Michigan with an emphaisis on Sport, Myofascial and Neuromuscular Massage Techniques. I have completed additional training in NeuroMuscular Therapy (NMT), Therapy Stones (hot/cold application) and Thai massage. I also offer Reiki and Craniosacral Therapy. Most recently I have studied ‘Matrix Energetics’ and completed training as a Medical Intuitive.
I enjoy practicing yoga; biking in the woods and on the road, hiking, snow skiing and kayaking. Growing up in the Great Lakes, I am enjoying the Pacific Northwest and the opportunities to play in, on or near the water!
